Exxon Invests $600 Million in Biofuels

Exxon (NYSE:XOM) has announced today that it will invest $600 million in research aiming at producing liquid transportation fuels from algae. The project is a joint effort with Synthetic Genomics founded by Craig Venter. More about the project can be read in the New York Times.
